Myrlene McGehee Gould of Algiers, LA passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Jay E. Gould. Loving mother of Cheryl G. Barletto and Jay E. Gould Jr. Mother in law of Peggy M. Gould. Daughter of the late Addie Belle Bennett McGehee and Hiller McGehee. Sister of Jo Rousey and Perry McGehee. Grandmother of Michele Crawford, Melanie Barletto, Melissa Barletto, Dustin, Dean, and Haley Gould. Great-grandmother of Amber, Victoria, Kaden and Savannah. Mrs. Gould was a former secretary at Adolph Meyer Elementary, Martin Behrman Sr. High School, and retired from O’Perry Walker High School. She was a charter season ticket holder and avid fan of the New Orleans Saints. Relatives and Friends of the Family, also members of the Theta Golden Age Club, AARP Algiers Chapter, N.O. Retired Teachers, American Legion Post 218 and Holy Name of Mary NUCLEUS are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 11 AM. Visitation will be Monday morning from 9 AM until funeral time. Interment will follow in Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale LA.
