Myrtie Tyson Champagne, a native of Freeport, Texas and a resident of Port Sulphur, Louisiana for many years, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 in Abbeville, LA. She was 88 years old. Beloved wife of the late Ralph J. Champagne. Daughter of the late Barty “Joe” Tyson and Emma Gagneaux Tyson. Sister of Martha Tyson Stella, the late Ola Mae Tyson and Wayne Tyson. Loving mother of David J. Champagne and wife Annette R. Champagne, Susan C. Delahoussaye and her husband Danny Delahoussaye, Paul L. Champagne and wife Theresa C. Champagne and Thomas J. Champagne and wife Debra Y. Champagne. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at St. Mary Church, Raceland, LA on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 9AM until 11 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM. Interment, St. Mary Cemetery, Raceland, LA
