Nalta “Honey” Ancar, a lifelong resident of Grand Bayou, LA, passed away on May 23, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Nephew of the late Marie Sylve. Cousin of Dickey Bergeron, Sr. (Mona). “Honey” to Rachael (Scott), Kimberly (Chad), Dickie Jr. (Kristian), Dana Bergeron, Alaina, Luke, Curtis Jr., Caitlin, Kayleigh, Khayden, Micah and Brailey. Brother of the late Freddie, Nelton and Clinton Ancar. Son of the late Norma Sylve Ancar and Edward Ancar.
Honey was a commercial fisherman and was skilled at making and repairing nets and trawls and spent many hours at the “Net Shed” in Buras.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at River of Life Fellowship, 25640 Hwy 23 in Port Sulphur, LA on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 9 AM to 10 AM. Services will follow. Interment will take place at the Ancar Cemetery in Diamond, LA.
