Nevlas Marie Fontenot DeVillier, 76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday March 14, 2015. With her devoted husband of 59 years, Frank Edward DeVillier, at her side she entered eternal rest. She was born September 15,1938 to the late Adam and Nursie Monier Fontenot in Lafayette, La and since becoming a 42 year resident of Marrero, La, Nevlas was loved by many. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Southern Pacific Railroad, a West Jefferson Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary, and a member of the WIBC bowling league. Though absent in body, her beautiful spirit will forever live on in those she has departed. Nevlas was a proud daughter, sister, wife, mother, Maw Maw, and friend. She is survived by husband Frank E. DeVillier and their two daughters Cindy Seymour and Nadine Olson Kersten, as well as sisters Nazel Belenger and Debbie Address and brother Wilton Fontenot. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Jonathan, Laura, Kris, Jeffrey, & Emily, and 9 great grandchildren; Corrin, Gabriel, Preston, Abigail, Daniel, Violet, Emma, Eli, and Alexander.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 5 PM to 9 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 6th Street in Gretna on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 for 8:30 AM. Interment will follow at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, LA.
