Nicholas "Nick" Blanda

Nicholas “Nick” Blanda passed away on October 17, 2013 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Dolores Dugas Blanda. Father of Priscilla “Prissy” Blanda Scoriels (husband Leon). Grandfather of Nicole Scoriels Loup (husband Jeff). Great-grandfather of Morgan Ann Loup and Lauren Renee Loup. Brother of Rosemary Arcement, Joseph Blanda, Jr., the late Josephine “Josie” Lisotta, Crucifee “Fee” Pontillo, Lena Delaune, Rosalie “Lee Lee” McLaine, Mary Grace, Philip, Salvatore “Sam”, Johnny and Frank Blanda. Son of the late Mary Grace DeSalvo Blanda and Joseph Blanda.
Nick served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, spent his tour in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and later retired from American Standard.
Relatives, friends and employees of American Standard, G E, Breaux Mart and Wynhoven Health Care Center are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church, 535 Deerfield Road in Terrytown on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 11 AM.
