Nilton Joseph Vedros entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of 64 years to Emma Chiasson Vedros. Son of the late Dave Vedros and Edna Guidry Vedros. Father of Gloria Rodrigue (Husband Jerry), Lena Rodrigue (Husband Dwight), Edna Barros (Husband Marlon) and the late Linda Vedros Aucoin. Brother of Edna Mae Vedros Adams, Ernestine Vedros Bailleaux and the late Tony Vedros, Cleveland Vedros, Eno Vedros, Evelina Vedros Thibodeaux, Winnie Vedros Folse, Molly Vedros Savoie, Richard Vedros, Percy Vedros, Bobbie Vedros, Freddie Vedros, Mildred Vedros and Lilian Vedros Griffin. Survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Nilton was born in Lockport, LA and resided in Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church, Ames and Barataria Blvd.,Marrero, LA on Monday, September 24, 2012 from 9:15AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church on Monday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
