Noah Stoute was born May 31, 1961 in Crowley. He was a 1979 graduate of Crowley High School and a 1982 Graduate of Commonwealth College of Mortuary Science in Houston, TX. Stoute made a lifetime career out of helping people. He served as a funeral director at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home and assistant coroner in Acadia Parish. Stoute worked at Geesey-Ferguson for more than 20 years, and even though he left for New Orleans in the early 2000’s, he remained an active part of the community. He also volunteered with the Federal D-Mort Team assisting in Disasters that took him to Guam and other places to serve those in need. At the time of his death he was employed at Mothe Funeral Home in Harvey; and for the past 9 years, Noah has untiringly served the grief stricken families of the Greater New Orleans West Bank Community.
He is survived by one sister, Clarice Boullion and her husband, Glenn of Crowley; one brother, Dennis Stoute of Crowley, one nephew, Glenn Boullion, Jr. and his wife, Janet of Crowley; and four nieces, Emily, Olivia, Katie, and Abigail Boullion all of Crowley. Mr. Stoute is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lula Gotreaux Stoute; maternal grandparents, Henry and Mary Fruge Gotreaux; one aunt, Verdice Winn; and three uncles, Clyde and Henry and Wilson Gotreaux. Pallbearers will be Glenn Boullion, Sr., Glenn Boullion, Jr., Chuck Brown, Derek Brown, Monte Briggs and Alan Breaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Mark Dawson, Roy Geesey, Kathy Duncan, Boyd Mothe, Sr., and Tiger Istre.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral services at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 6 p.m. Visitation from 4 pm until funeral time.
On Tuesday, September 11, funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at The Pentecostals of Crowley Church, 9431 Egan Hwy., Crowley, LA with visitation from 11 until 2 p.m. Rev. Lenford Whitaker, pastor of The Pentecostals of Crowley Church will be officiating for the service. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
