Nolan Edmond LeBlanc entered into Eternal Rest with Jesus on August 23, 2016 at the age of 87 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Amelita Bosco LeBlanc and his two daughters, Laurie LeBlanc Nastasi and Angie LeBlanc.
He is preceded in death by his son, Nolan LeBlanc Jr., parents, Esther Dufrene LeBlanc and Adam LeBlanc, and brother, Elmore “Red” LeBlanc.
Nolan was born in Labadieville, LA and resided in Marrero, LA. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation after 30 years of dedicated service.
In addition to spending time with his loving family, Nolan enjoyed football, horse racing, gardening, playing guitar, country music and with his keen sense of humor, making people laugh. He touched the lives of so many and will be sadly missed.
The family would like to express their gratitude to his VetAttend caregivers, Ruby and Samantha, and also Dr. Craig Ehrensing and all who cared for him during his time of need. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 11 AM to 1:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
