Norris Joseph Guillot

Norris Joseph Guillot, Sr., a loving and devoted husband, father and friend, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 28, 2011. Beloved husband of Alice Mike Guillot. Father of Timothy Guillot (fiance, Tanya Hightower), Darrin Guillot (fiance, Jana Ward), Belinda Goff (husband, Douglas), Sheila Silcio (husband, Perry, Sr.), the late Norris J. Guillot, Jr. and Jeanette Guillot. Stepfather of Anthony Mike (wife, Ashleigh) and Chad Dusang (fiance, Kristen Romback). Brother of Sheldon and Joseph “Ted” Guillot, Doris Collette, Gail Guillot the late Ned and Shirley Gauthreaux. Son of the late Edith Melancon Guillot and Ovey Guillot. Also survived by 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was 78 years of age, a native of Westwego, formerly of Pass Christian, MS and most recently of Marrero and Lafitte. He was retired from Avondale Shipyards and was a member of White Dove Fellowship Church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at White Dove Fellowship Church, 3600 Manahattan Blvd., Harvey on Saturday, July 2, 2011 from 10 AM to 12 PM. Services will follow. Interment Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to White Dove Fellowship Mission Fund to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ (www.whitedove.org).
