Ocie Alexander Jr.

Ocie Alexander Jr. entered eternal rest on Wednesday August 16, 2023, at the age of 61.  He leaves to cherish his memory.; 1, son SherMichael (Shedrenna) of Slidell, La.  2 daughters Shinicka (Donnell) of Saint Paul Minnesota and Shemecka (Torrance) of Laplace, La.  1 God Child Craigus Thompson of Sacramento, California.  23 Grandchildren, 3 Great grandkids, 4 brothers Haywood (Patty), Harold (Demetrius), Harrell "Bummy" and Floyd "Mickey" (Deloris) Jones.  2 sisters Elaine Thompson and Rose Zeno.  He was preceded in death by his father Ocie Alexander Sr., mother Matilda Jones, son Ocie Alexander III, sister Emelda “Teeny” and 3 brother’s-in-law Claude Thompson Sr., Leroy Dabney, and Eugene Zeno. Sister-in-law Paulette Jones.  Grandsons Josiah Carter, Jamicahel Alexander, and Milachi Alexander.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved him very much. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, La on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 10am.  The visitation will begin at 9am (immediate family need to be present for 8am). Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Restlawn Memorial Park in Avondale, La.
