Octavio Walter Michel was born August 12, 1927 in Marrero, La., died June 3, 2013 in Little Elm, Tx. at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Estellina Compeaux Michel. Father of Michael Paul Michel (wife Wanda Williams) and Matthew Peter Michel (wife Hope Richardson). Grandfather of Jordan Elizabeth Michel and Sarah Anne Michel, step-grandfather of Tori Tonguis Johnson (husband Jeremy Johnson), David Porche and Diane Porche. Step-great grandfather of Andrew, Jade, and Annabelle Johnson, and Kevin Porche. Son of the late Rosalie Baldassaro Michel and Salvatore Michel. Brother of the late Benny, Joseph, August (wife Anita), Anthony (wife Dora), and Jake (wife Wille Mae) Michel, Lucy Palmisano (husband Walter), and Marie Delcuze (husband Albert).
Long-time resident of Marrero; retired from Celotex Corporation after 44 years of service.
