Oliver J. Koch, Jr.

Oliver J. Koch, Jr. passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the age of 97. Born August 12, 1925, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Oliver J. Koch, Sr. and Lucy Schmalz Koch. He was a resident of Belle Chasse for 65 years and Gretna for the last 5 years. A Navy Veteran serving during World War II from 1944-1946. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Margaret Daigle Koch and his siblings, George Koch, Irwin Koch, Ernest Koch, Ethelyn Koch Gebrowsky, Mildred Koch Kennair and Lillian Koch Illenberger. He is survived by his children, Jeffery Koch and wife Mary Ann, Marcia Koch Garcia and late husband Alex and Donna Koch; and two grandchildren, Anna Koch Tusa and husband AJ and Jessica Koch. The family would like to thank all the medical professionals that cared for Oliver including Nurse Zina with Omni Home Health and most recently, The Compassus Hospice Team. A private ceremony will be held for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church of Belle Chasse.
