Opal Gary Langston

Opal Gary Langston died peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 25, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones. She was 94 years old. Beloved wife of Max N. Langston. Mother of Harry G. Thrailkill (Patricia) and Jo Lynn DeLatte (Marshall Breedlove). Grandmother of Harry A. Thrailkill, Jo Ann Thrailkill (Jeff Castelaz) and Dana Juneau (Lonnie). Great Grandmother of Jordan, Christopher, Grady, Barrett, Alex, Opal, and Reese. Also survived by her sisters, Nancy Van Skike and Ima Dobbs, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Opal is preceded in death by her parents, Caleb Gary and Dorothy Williams Gary; her brothers and sister, Sonny, Gloris, and Isaac and her Great Grandson, Pablo Castelaz. She was “Granny” to all who knew and loved her. She touched so many hearts with her kindness and will be sadly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Pablove Foundation, 6607 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90027, a childhood cancer foundation in memory of her Great Grandson, Pablo. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 11AM until 1PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA
