Ophelia Rita Bladsacker

Ophelia Bourgeois Bladsacker entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Elroy Lionel Bladsacker. Daughter of the late Theodore and Philomene LeBlanc Bourgeois. Mother of Veronica Bladsacker Vedros (Husband Jesse) and Troy Bladsacker Boyle (Husband Peter). Grandmother of Michelle Vedros Schouest (Husband Eric) and Benjamin J. Boyle who is attending college in Denver, Colorado. Great Grandmother of Lauren E. Schouest and Eric Michael Schouest. Ophelia was born March 4, 1922 in Chackahoula, LA; lived most of her life in Algiers, LA; lived in Terrytown,LA for 30 years and moved in Covington, LA with her daughter and son-in-law. She was a parishioner of St. Jane de Chantel Catholic Church in Abita Springs, LA. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to her sitters, Angie and Peggy whom she loved very much and also to the Staff of St. Joseph Hospice in Covington, LA for their love and care given. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 9:30AM.
