Ory James “Jimmy” Hooter, Jr. passed away on June 3, 2015 at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband of Wendy Summers Hooter. Father of Kirk James Hooter, Sr. (Charlotte Nelson), Darrin Paul Hooter (Kelley) and Chris Edward Hooter (Jennifer). Grandfather of Dylan Paul Dmitry Hooter, Kyle Alexander Hooter, Ethan Alexander Hooter, Kristine Marie Hooter, Jake Edward Hooter, Rebecca Lyn Hooter, Kirk James “Jay” Hooter, Jr., Joeligh Hooter, Scott Griffith and the late Brittany Qualin Hooter. Brother of Rosemary Hooter Bell. Son of the late Grace Bolner Hooter and Ory James Hooter, Sr. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Jimmy was a proud Holy Cross High School graduate, Class of 1961 and later graduated from Loyola University in 1965 with his BA in Business. He was owner of O.J. Hooter Furniture Co., Cajun Dance Co. and O.J. Hooter Appraisals and Estate Sales. He was a member of the Brother Melchior Society and the Magazine Street Business Association. He will be sadly missed.
