Patty Verdin Slay, age 59 peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. Beloved wife of Cliff Slay. Daughter of the late Jehu Johnny Wilkes and Ella Mae Thomas Wilkes. Loving and devoted mother of Tina Verdin Adam (Husband Alvin) and Kelly Verdin Cardenal (Husband Lenny). Loving Grandmother of Emalie Gautreaux, Ashley Adam, Kade Cardenal and Alayna Cardenal. Beloved sister of Barbara Ford and the late Eddie Wilkes and Danny Wilkes. Patty is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was born in Florida and was a resident of Marrero. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Brent Wallis for his care, compassion and love. The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation to the Doctors and Staff of Bayside Nursing Home and Hospice Compassus for their care. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 4PM until 9PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 6PM. Interment will be privately held at a later date.
