Paul Joseph Fasullo, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the age of 68 at his home in Marrero as a result of congestive heart failure. Born on July 28, 1945 to Josephine Armato Fasullo and Philip A. Fasullo, Sr. who he now joins in heaven with the Lord.
A long time resident of the Westbank, Paul graduated from St. Stanislaus High School and attended Southeastern Louisiana University. He served his country as a member of the US Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an avid sportsman and a long time member of the White Oak Hunting Club. He fully supported the LSU Fighting Tigers and, at times, the New Orleans Saints. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church where his children attended grade school and his grandson, Paul, currently attends. He worked most of his life in the family business, Fasullo's Supermarkets, started by his parents and his work ethic was second to none.
He is survived by his wife Carol Truxillo Fasullo, his sons Paul Joseph Fasullo, Jr. and wife Tracey, and Philip Fasullo and wife Angie. His grandchildren Karley, Kira, Paul-Philip, Draven, Gavin and great-granddaughter Laina. He is also survived by his brothers Philip A. Fasullo, Jr., wife Betty and Anthony Fasullo, wife Janet and a host of nephews and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4401 7th Street in Marrero on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 10 AM to 1 PM.
