Paul Legendre Sr.

Paul Legendre Sr., was born on July 25, 1942 and passed away peacefully on March 31, 2023 at the age of 80. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pamela Donner Legendre; parents, Camille “Bud” Legendre and Sarah Faletta Legendre; brother, Kenneth A. “Skelly” Legendre.

He leaves behind two sons, Paul Legendre Jr. (his wife Allana) and Phillip Legendre. He is also survived by wife Jaunet Carol Legendre, her two children, Jamie Segar and Amy Segar Haas. Paul also was the proud grandfather of three grandchildren, Perrin Rodrigue Legendre, Bridgette Legendre Boudreaux, and Pamela Legendre along with four great-grandchildren, Emerie, Eleanor, Cecelia, and Perrin Michael.

He retired as a lineman from South Central Bell/Bellsouth after 34 years of service. His dedication to his community followed him as a volunteer firefighter for Terrytown Vol. Fire Department where he achieved the rank of Chief. In his spare time, he was a car enthusiast having restored many cars in his lifetime. 

Family and friends are invited to attend Paul’s Memorial Graveside Service at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue in Gretna on Saturday, May 13, 2023 for 11am.

His Celebration of Life will continue at Café 615 “Da Wabbit” Restaurant, 615 Kepler Street in Gretna for 12noon.
