Pauline Gerdes LeBlanc

July 12, 1941 — October 26, 2023

Marrero

Pauline Gerdes LeBlanc passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday October 26, 2023. She was 82 years old. She leaves behind her son James “Jimmy” LeBlanc Jr.; daughters Jean Ann LeBlanc and Cherie LeBlanc Danos; daughter-in-law Elizabeth “Beth” LeBlanc and son-in-law Corey Danos Sr.; her precious grandchildren Tank and Mindy LeBlanc Langlinais, Mandy Ann LeBlanc, James, III “Jimmy” and Laci LeBlanc, and Corey James Danos Jr; her precious great grandchildren Jayde Marie, Jaycob Allen, and Kahlen Elizabeth Langlinais, and Peyton James and Kenzie LeBlanc. Her family was her identity and she loved them fiercely. They were her most treasured things in life. She is survived by her sister Nancy DiBenedetto and Brother Eugene Jr. “Gene” and Linda Gerdes and sister-in-law Elvira “Tootsie” Chaisson. She is survived by many, many nieces and nephews she loved so very much. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years James “Jimmy” LeBlanc Sr. Her parents Eugene Sr. “Gene” Gerdes and Hazel Nichols Gerdes; her in-laws Thomas and Stella Adams LeBlanc; her sister Dolores Vaurigaud; brothers-in-law Louis “Louie” DiBenedetto and Chris Vaurigaud; and a host of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from her husband’s side. Prior to his passing, her husband Jimmy had a 1941 Willys and she made the mistake of telling him she wanted a hot rod too. He took that to heart and rebuilt a 1958 Chevy Impala for her. They loved travelling to car shows together. She just loved to travel. Her favorite trip was on a cruise to Alaska. She believed everyone should experience that once in a lifetime trip that as she said the views were just breathtaking. She was the most absolutely amazing wife, mom, grandma, and granny. She loved her family with all she had and they loved her back the same. She always took care of family and put them first up until the very day God called her home. She was amazingly beautiful inside and out. She had the most beautiful heart and the kindest soul. Everyone she met fell in love with her sweet demeanor. When God and her beloved husband Jimmy came to get her, we can only imagine and dream of the reunion as she has missed him every day for nearly the last 14 years. God seen her getting weary and he did what was best and that it was time to take her home for her to get her heavenly rest. God has taken our earthly angel above and we can only take comfort in knowing her and our dad are together again and are watching over us. She took a large part of each of our hearts with her and left us completely shattered. She will be greatly missed by all of those that love her. She was such a phenomenal person that all of the visits, calls and texts that the family has received has shown just that. Our chain has lost one more link.
