Philip Vincent Alimia

March 27, 1943 — April 25, 2014

Philip V. Alimia roared into the Pearly Gates on Friday, April 25, 2014 at his Westwego residence surrounded by his loving family. Survivors include his love, his heart, his rock, his best friend, Ms. Billie Cain; his children, Dawn A. Toups, Beth A. Pizzeck, Paul Alimia (wife Jacklyn) and Jay Alimia (Fiance’ Nohemi Aldaco); his grandchildren, Heather Toups, Jessica and Skip Pizzeck and Aria Rager; his great grandchildren, Bryce Toups and Katin Rubenstein; his brother, Manuel Alimia; his sister, Debbie Doiron. Philip is the son of the late Manuel H. Alimia and Daisy R. Duhon and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Step-Son of the late John Duhon and brother of the late Joe Alimia. He loved his Blues and his bikes. Philip retired as co-founder and director of Westwego EMS; lifetime member of Westwego Volunteer Fire Department, Past President of New Orleans River Region, Chapter of LA Nationally Registered EMT and Past Board member of LA State Association of National Registered EMT. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 5PM until 11PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 9AM until 1PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
