Philip "Boogie" Paul Bourgeois, Jr passed away at his home on June 25, 2021. Philip was born in New Orleans on December 10, 1937 to his late parents, Mary and Philip Paul Bourgeois Sr.
Philip served in the United States Marine Corp from 1957 -1960. He then began working as a Field Maintenance Mechanic with the FAA. After 30 years of working for the FAA, he decided to retire and spend time with his family.
Philip "Boogie" Paul Bourgeois, Jr. is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Alida "Lee" Dewey Bourgeois; his sons; Philip Paul Bourgeois III, Justin Patrick Bourgeois, and Jason Theodore Bourgeois; his grandchildren; Philip P. Bourgeois IV, Joshua Bourgeois, Ashley Bourgeois, Kimberly Bourgeois, Darian Bourgeois, Megan Bourgeois, and Alvia Bourgeois; his great grandchildren; Isabella Rose Bourgeois, Kaiden Adams, Camden Bourgeois, Mason Bourgeois, Eleanora Easley, Barrett Easley, and his sisters; Linda Comeaux and Margie Broome. Philip also leaves behind his beloved white German Sheperd "Sandy". Philip will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
Philip is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Calcagno Bourgeois and Philip Paul Bourgeois Sr.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday June 30, 2021 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA 70058. The visitation will resume on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 9:00 am, followed by the funeral service on at 11:00 am, Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery.
