Philip Manuel Cajiao

February 14, 1927 — February 16, 2015

Philip Manuel Cajiao, age 88 entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 16, 2015. Beloved and loving husband of Jodie Alfonso Cajiao for 50 years. Son of the late Manuel Cajiao and Thyra Thorsen Cajiao. Devoted father of Austin Manuel Cajiao. Loving brother of Julie Mairs (Roger) and the late Dolores Reidy (the late John) and John Cajiao (Survived by Elizabeth). Philip is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He was born in New York City and was a resident of Terrytown. He was a member of the American Legion Post 378 of Terrytown. Philip served his country while enlisted in the United States Army, 88th Infantry Division, 350 Company L. He was also a proud member of the International Organization of Masters Mates and Pilots where he achieved his 2nd Mate License. He last sailed on the S.S. Stella Lykes. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 12:30PM until 1:30PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
