Philip M. Desalvo
March 17, 1939 — November 16, 2015
Philip M. DeSalvo passed away on November 16, 2015 at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of 53 years to Geraldine Trimmer DeSalvo. Father of Lorena D. Goitia (Kevin), Andrew A. DeSalvo and Georgia C. DeSalvo. Grandfather of Ryan, Seth, Dustin, Blaine and Margaret. Brother of the late Nicholas J. DeSalvo (Gail). Son of the late Cosimo “Gus” DiSalvo and Louise Zophy DiSalvo. Also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Philip served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and later retired as a foreman with AMF/Tuboscope. He was a former member of American Legion Post 64 in Gretna.
In accordance with his wishes, services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project ( www.woundedwarriorproject.com ) or to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program ( www.toysfortots.org ).
