Philip Terrence Wilkerson Jr.

Philip Terrence Wilkerson Jr. was born in New Orleans, LA on June 26, 1974 and was raised and lived in the city of Gretna, LA. He passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the age of 50.

He was the beloved son of Philip Wilkerson Sr and Audrey "Cookie" Taix Wilkerson, the amazing brother of Tori Wilkerson Fertitta (Patrick). The loving uncle of Alexis, Sadie and Hagen Fertitta, the beloved grandson of the late George Taix, the late Lorrell Brockner Taix, Philip E, Wilkerson and Bobbie Nell Kimbrell Wilkerson, and beloved nephew of Tony Wilkerson, George Taix (Ruth), Mary Ann Frosch (the late Lenny), Peggy Bourgeois and the late Sgt. Helen Sue Laughlin, best friend to Evans Brock and the special cousin to Rebecca Armstrong (Brett).  He is survived by many other cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. 

He loved cooking, baking, watching the Saints and LSU football and anything political. He enjoyed being part of his fantasy football league, the Ray Salamander League for over 14 years. He loved to travel overseas and went to Alabama once a year to visit our family who he loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 20th, 2024 at Mothe Funeral Homes located at 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 11:00 am. The funeral service will start at 11:00 am followed by interment at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1255 Whitney Ave, Gretna, LA.
