Phyllis Ann Thayer Homer

Phyllis homer, 81, of Luling, LA died Sunday, November 3rd. She was born to the late Leon and Marie Antoinette Thayer on July 1st, 1932 in Maywood, IL. She was a graduate of St Francis Academy in Joliet, IL. She married the late Jacob Homer Jr in 1950 and they traveled extensively due to his distinguished military career. They ultimately settled in Gaston, SC.
Phyllis moved to Luling in 2009 and was a member of Holy Family Catholic church.
Phyllis was predeceased by her sister, Jeanne Stackhouse, and her brother, Ralph Thayer. She is survived by her children, Jay Homer (Lisa) of Gaston, SC. Greg Homer (Debbie) of Luling, LA, Michelle Homer of Luling, LA and Melinda Breske (Rick) of Selawik, AK. She has seven beloved grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Phyllis also leaves behind numerous family and friends from coast to coast and will be greatly missed by all.
A private memorial service was held at St Anthony's on Tuesday, November 5th. Phyllis will be laid to rest with her husband at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC.
