Raleigh Joseph Williams Jr.

LCDR Raleigh Joseph Williams, Jr., U.S.N. (Ret) passed away August 27, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Nell Pults Williams. Father of Raleigh "Rocky" J. Williams, III (Lauren), Susan E. Williams, and the late Stephen D. Williams (Lora). Grandfather of Beverly (Robert), Susan (Robert), Julie, and Stephanie (Trevor). Great-grandfather of Trace and Jeanne. Son of the late Raleigh J. Williams, Sr. and Hattie Bucholz Williams. Brother of the late Iris W. Clark (late Roland). Age 94 years, a native of Algiers, LA and resident of Terrytown, LA. He graduated from Warren Easton High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1942. He retired after over 20 years in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander, and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He then spent his second career as a City Traffic Engineer for the City of New Orleans until retirement. He will be deeply missed by all.
