Ramona Ayo Barras

Ramona Ayo Barras passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of 63 years to Charles A. Barras, Jr. Daughter of the late George and Olivia Ayo. Mother of Judy A. Barras, David J. Barras, Sr. (Wife Linda), Karen B. Simoneaux (Husband Bill), Susan K.Pitre (Husband Tim), Mary G. Billiot (Husband Roger) and the late Wayne A. Barras. Survived by 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 expected great grandchild. Ramona was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 222 2nd District and the 8&40 Veterans Organization. She was born in New Orleans, LA and was a resident of the Westbank for many years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the funeral home at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
