Ramona Louise Daigle, A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 80. Born on Saturday, October 21st, 1944, in Cameron, Louisiana, Ramona was a beloved resident of Gretna, LA where she lived a life full of love, joy, and dedication to her family. Ramona was preceded in death by her dear parents, James and Victoria Daigle; her brother James Lee; her daughter Lucy Lebeau (Paul), and her beloved dog Kujo. She is survived by her loving children: Norma Guidry (Dale Sr.), John McEvers Jr. (Sherry), and Theresa Daigle. Ramona was a cherished grandmother to Dale Guidry Jr. (Simone), Chasidy Guidry (Todd), Lance Guidry, Nicholas Guidry (Taylor), Victoria Lebeau (Charles), She also leaves behind her siblings, Ernest Daigle, Earl Daigle, Virginia Taylor, and Pearl Collins. As well as eight adoring great-grandchildren Jailen, Jala, Josh Raymond, Giovahni Salinas, Paul Matherne, Infinity and Ivy Lebeau, and Baby Guidry on the way. Step Grandmother to Barbara Bauman (Jerard), Beverly Childs (Jacob), Brandi Bauman, Brianne Paulisich (William). Step Great-Grandmother to Paisley Jay, Ava, Louis, Abram, Ella, Baylen, and Bailey. Her beloved family canine companion Jax. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Ramona lived a full life, with her Catholic faith being at the core of her existence. She was a strong, spunky, fun-loving woman who enjoyed watching her Western tv shows and having countless phone conversations with her sister Pearl. Her long life was a gift to many who loved her deeply. The greatest treasure she left us is the piece of herself that lives on in each of us, a legacy that will resonate through generations, because of her love for God. She created countless cherished memories with her loved ones, whether through meals shared at the table, or simply her unwavering presence in their lives. Ramona will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the staff at Compassus Hospice for the wonderful and compassionate care that Ramona received while approaching the end of her life. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11am. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9am until 11am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends may view and sign the online guest book at www.mothefunerals.com.
