Ramsey Raymond Usey, Sr. on Sunday, December 23, 2012. Beloved husband of Joy Martinez Usey for 55 years. Father of Debra Usey Judice (David), Joy Usey Perez, Ramsey Raymond “Ray” Usey, Jr. (Sarka), Ralph Edward Usey and Todd Joseph Usey (Brandy). Paw Paw of Chad Judice (Misty), Jeanne Usey Spindel, Katie Judice Ochello (Dominick), Ashley and Dustin Perez, Sarah, Trey and Hannah Usey. Step Grandpaw of Blake and Alexis Ronquille. Great grandfather of Caden and Caleb Judice, Hayleigh and Ainsley Spindel and Dominick Ochello. Survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Earl and Gerald Usey, Ethel Hughes, Geraldine Huff and Esther Ratcliff. Son of the late Jeanne Bonvillian Usey and Edward Usey. Brother of the late Joseph, Robert, Norman, Rita Usey, Shirley Cheramie and Mary McCann. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends. Mr. Usey was retired from the City of New Orleans and served in the Louisiana Army National Guard.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11 AM. Interment will be private. Parlors will be open Saturday from 9 AM until 11 AM. The family would like to thank Raymond and Bettie Leblanc for their help during his illness. They would also like to thank Dr. Melancon and the staff of Concerned Care Hospice.
