Rev. Msgr. Ray Paul Hebert

Rev. Msgr. Ray Paul Hebert passed away on January 16, 2014 at the age of 85 years. Son of the late Ray Paul Hebert, Sr., Caroline Falterman and Godson of Irene Herbert of Norco, LA. Brother of Leonard J. Hebert (Mary Madere Hebert). Uncle of the late David P. Hebert. Nephew of Rodgers Hebert of Houston, TX. Also survived by a host of cousins, family and friends.
Msgr. Hebert was born in Patterson, LA and was raised in Norco, LA. Following seventh grade, he began seminary formation at St. Joseph Seminary in St. Benedict, LA. He was ordained in 1952, the first priest ordained from the River Parishes. Among his assignments, he was longtime pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Marrero, LA.
Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4401 Seventh Street in Marrero, LA on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 10 AM until 12:30 PM and the Funeral Mass will follow for 1 PM. Interment St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Academy of Our Lady High School, the Priests and Religious Retirement Fund of the Archdiocese of New Orleans or Masses are preferred.
