July 16, 1926 — December 11, 2014

Ray Joseph Hunter entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 11, 2014. He was a native and lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emily and Lee Hunter; his beloved wife, Sandra W. Hunter; his son, Ray “Blackie” Hunter, Jr. and his loving Grandson, Blake Hunter, Jr. Ray is survived by his loving companion of 14 years, Margaret Wallace; his sons, Blake Hunter, Sr. and Brett Hunter, Sr.; his daughter Vanessa Hunter as well as his grandchildren, great nieces and nephews. He was a member of The American Legion Post 222 and was employed by Boh Brothers Construction for over 40 years. The family is asking for plants only or please consider donations to Prada Willie Syndrome or Louisiana Special Olympics in memory of Ray’s Grandson, Blake Hunter, Jr. Ray’s visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 9AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM. Interment will be in Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
