Raymond "Ray" W. Bourgeois

Raymond “Ray” W. Bourgeois, born August 3, 1940 entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of 30 years to Elizabeth Chiasson Bourgeois. Father of Robin Breaux (Warren), Renee Bourgeois (Shannon), Raenell Bourgeois (Carey) and Steven Bourgeois (Shannon). Step-father of Robin Hebert (Robert), Floyd Porche, Jr. (Susan), Henry Porche (Tammy), Diana Canady (Mike), Denise Roussel (Ross), Roxanna White (Richard) and Danny Beyers. Survived by 23 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Son of the late Oliver Bourgeois and Lilly Nunez Bourgeois. Also survived by 2 half sisters; preceded in death by 1 sister, 1 brother and 3 half brothers. Ray was owner of Tire Shack, Inc and Expressway Pawn Shops located on the Westbank. He was born in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of the Westbank. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to Hospice Compassus and Nurse, Laura Savarese for their care and compassion. A memorial visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 10AM until 1PM. Memorial Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
