Raymond G. Fleming, Sr. of Gretna, LA passed away on February 21, 2014 at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of Christina Parks Fleming. Father of Rita Fleming, Rhonda Fleming and Raymond Fleming, Jr. Step-father of Janet Marmillion Lambert and Kevin Marmillion. Grandfather of Jarod LeBlanc, Jasmine LeBlanc, David LeBlanc, Briana Fleming, Raqual Bordelon, Kenneth Lambert, Jr. and the late Jonathan Brunnette. Great-grandfather of Aali’yah Bordelon. Brother of Thais Fleming Lyon (James Robert), the late Edward Fleming and the late Mae Fleming. Brother-in-law of Capt. Ken Parks, U.S.N., Retired (Iona), Joseph A. Parks and the late Rev. Fr. Jonathan Parks, S.D.B., Ph.D. Son of Robert E. and Elise DeMots Fleming. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Raymond was a retired printer who worked for print companies in the New Orleans area and was formerly active in the Knights of Columbus.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at St. Rosalie Catholic Church, 600 2nd Avenue in Harvey on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 9 AM to 10 AM. A Memorial Mass will follow. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Joseph Anthony Parks Scholarship Fund, c/o First Bank and Trust, 2316 Manhattan Blvd., Harvey, LA 70058.
