Raymond Joseph Ullo, known for his many successful ventures as an entrepreneur, has passed away on July 3, 2024. He was born on August 11, 1935, in Marrero, LA to the late Ella Oregon Ullo and the late Joseph Ullo. Raymond was a man who cherished his family above all else and leaves behind a loving legacy that will be forever remembered. He was husband to the late Barbara Carmouche Ullo for 49 wonderful years.
Raymond is survived by his children: Jan Ullo, Rickey J. Ullo (Dana), Sandy Ullo Albert (Danny), and Tammy Ullo Larson (Edward). His memory will be carried on by his grandchildren: Chad, Derek, Blake, Brent, Diana, Courtney, Gavin, and Evan; as well as his great-grandchildren: Maddocks, Emery, Riley, Sawyer, Remy, Landon, and Grant (on the way) all of whom cherished their "Paw Paw". He is also preceded in death by his sister Willa Mae Garcia.
Raymond served in the United States Coast Guard for 8years before embarking on a diverse career that included Star Light Contractors, Toddler Academy Daycare, owning a Tug Boat business, serving as President of the Barber Association, and lessor of the local Post Office. Raymond's passion for fishing and hunting was well-known among his friends and family. He was an enthusiastic member of the Hammack Hunting Club where he shared memorable moments with loved ones. A man of strong character and unwavering dedication to his work and family, Raymond leaves behind a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence will be dearly missed but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Services to honor and celebrate Raymond Joseph Ullo's life will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marrero on July 12th at 10:00 AM with visitation followed by Mass at 12:00 PM. The interment will take place at Westlawn Memorial Park in Terrytown at 1:15 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donating to the American Kidney Fund or the American Heart Association.
