Reginald C. Vallee

Reginald Vallee, a lifelong resident of Westwego, passed away on May 12, 2011 at 3:07 PM. He was 88 years of age. He was the son of the late Marie Tassin Vallee and Emanuel Vallee. “Reg” is preceded in death by his brother, Emanuel Vallee, Jr. and sister, Lois Donahue. He was the devoted husband of Iona Gros Vallee for 64 years. He is also survived by his children, Charlene Holmes (Lewis) of Kingwood, TX, Thomas Vallee (Susie) of Folsom, LA and Timothy Vallee (Elaine) of Harvey, LA. He was the best “paw-paw” to Rebecca Brown, Timothy J. Vallee, Jr., Michael Holmes, Stacie Buras, Katie McCracken and T.C. Vallee as well as 8 great-grandchildren. He is a U.S. Navy veteran who served his country in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II and was a member of V.F.W. Post No. 7307. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved to share the outdoors with his family and friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of River Region Hospice for their loving care and compassion during this difficult time. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, May 16, 2011 from 9 AM to 11 AM. A Mass will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum in Westwego.
