Rena Diane Taranto Cavanaugh

Rena Diane Cavanaugh (Taranto) passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at the age of 67. Beloved wife of John Cavanaugh for 27 years. Loving mother of Kristi Taranto Longstreet (husband, Lewis) and Jacob Davis. She was born April 10, 1956, to the late Raymond and Betty (Scarbrough) Taranto, Sr. Sister to the late Raymond (wife, Janet) Taranto, Jr., Bonnie (husband, Clarence “Butch”) Lambert, Frank Taranto, Sr., and Susan (husband, Randy) Loustalot. Grandmother to Skylar, Jaxon, Riley, and Brayden Longstreet. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends. Rena was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette St., New Orleans, Louisiana on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 1pm to 3pm. Services will follow with Rev. Terry Ray, officiating.
