Richard Leo Burnetz, Sr.

Richard Leo Burnetz Sr. passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the age of 74. Beloved companion of Phyllis Darcey for over 23 years; father of Bo Rodriguez, Richard Leo Burnetz, Jr., and Chad Burnetz; and grandfather of Kalix Burnetz and Alana Burnetz. Brother of the late George Andrew Burnetz, Sr. A native of Algiers, LA and proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Richard was born on September 30, 1949 to the late George Bernetz and the late Mildred Campbell Burnetz.

He leaves behind his animal companion Lulu and his special little pal Kamden Darcey.

Richard retired from the Whitney Place Condominiums.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 3PM at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway. Visitation will begin at 2PM.
