Richard "Danny" Callahan, Jr.

Richard “Danny” Callahan, Jr. age 63 entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 27, 2013. Beloved husband of 42 years to Suzanne Stevens Callahan. Son of the late Richard D. Callahan, Sr. and Joyce Buhler Callahan. Loving and devoted father of Tara C. Uli (Husband Salvador) and Shawn O. Callahan. Grandfather of Sabrina Uli. Brother of Barbara Authement, Joyce Franks, Martha Heirsch, Rose Smith, Patrick Callahan, David Callahan, Debra Callahan, Phyllis Oser, Theresa Porche, Thomas Callahan and the late Timothy Callahan. Danny is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was a Vietnam Veteran while enlisted in the United States Marines. He was Superintendent for Hobson Galvanizing for over 20 years. He was born in New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA for 34 years. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 8AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11AM. Interment will be in Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
