Richard J. “Pookie” Constant passed on February 21, 2014. Beloved husband of Dolores Matrana Constant. Father of Maria Constant Dantin (husband Aaron), Michael Constant (Anita Rowe), Deborah Constant Palmisano (husband Ronnie) and Rebekah Constant Entrekin (husband Scott). Son of Anatole Irving Constant and the late Nita Toups Constant. Brother of Gerard “Gerry” Constant and Timothy Constant. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, Kristen, Amy, Michael Jr., Hayley, Austin, Karyn, Caylen, Jade, Elijah, Elliana, Meadow, Alexander, Ronnie and 1 great-grandchild, Reia. A native and resident of Marrero, LA for the past 72 years. Mr. Constant was a United States Navy veteran and was retired from Northrop Grumman (Avondale Shipyards) after 44 years of service. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 1PM.
