Richard James Doucet, age 72 entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 5:45AM. Beloved husband of Sylvia Pitre Doucet of 46 years. Loving father of Ann Clare Doucet. Son of the late Firmin Adam Doucet and Laura Cantrelle Doucet. Brother of Randolph Gabriel Doucet, Velma Doucet Duplechin and the late Freeman Doucet, Sr. (Cecile), Francis Doucet (Charlene), Ernest Doucet, Bernice Doucet Hargis (Anthony), Bertha Doucet Lewis (Earl), Thelma Doucet Matherne (Gilbert) and Laura Mae Doucet. Richard is survived by many nieces and nephews and his Grand-dog, Scobie Boo. He was born in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Richard was an employee of Boudreaux’s Plumbing, a Parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marrero and a former Parishioner of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church also in Marrero, LA. A Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday from 8AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1PM. Interment will be held in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA.
