Richard J. Grand

Richard J. Grand passed away on June 21, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of 61 years to Sallie Burke Grand. Father of Theresa Deemer and Janet Villafranco (husband Greg). Grandfather of Josh Villafranco, Casey Deemer and Tami Redd. Great-grandfather of Kadence Deemer. Brother of Alton Grand, the late Frank Grand and Roland Grand. Son of the late Richard L. and Bernadine Hildebrand Grand.
Richard served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He worked for Western Electric and later retired from the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board. He was a member of the Santa Maria K of C Council 1724.
