Richard Allan Mathews passed away on June 10, 2015. Beloved husband of Mary Falgoust Mathews for 52 years. Father of Loretta M. Guidroz (Glenn), Harold Mathews, Earl Mathews, Jane Elizabeth Mathews, and the late Richard Allan Mathews, Jr. Grandfather of Stephanie Guidroz, Glenn Guidroz, Jr., Katherine Grant, Richard Mathews, III, and Nathan A. Also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. Son of the late Lee Roy Mathews and Dorothy Todd Mathews of Colorado. Brother of Norman Mathews, and the late Howard Mathews, Bill Mathews, Betty Jo Richardson. Age 73 years, a native of Glenwood Springs, CO and resident of Gretna, LA. Richard was a maritime tugboat captain for 35 years. Faithful member of Grace Baptist Church of Marrero, LA. In his spare time he enjoyed his membership in the American Pool Players Association and spending time with his family.
