Richard A. Wroblewski, age 92, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at his home. Beloved husband of the late Dolores A. Wroblewski. Father of Joanne Nelson of Lexington, KY, Cynthia Carter of Metairie, LA, Kathleen Frisch of New Orleans, LA, Marycatherine McBride of Seattle, WA, Richard J. Wroblewski of Metairie, LA and Jefferey A. Wroblewski of Denham Springs, LA. Survivors also include his sons-in-law, the late Dr. Harry E. Nelson II, James E. Carter III, Walter J. Frisch, Sr. and Steven J. McBride and daughter-in-law Kerri Wroblewski; his brother, Ronald T. Wroblewski of Milwaukee, WI; and 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Wroblewski was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish from 1965 until 1971 and returned in 1995 when he served on the Finance Board. He also was a member of St. Theresa Church of the Little Flower for 13 years in Hollywood, FL where he was a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and Chairman of the Finance Board. He was U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served from 1942 until 1945 and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in the Company “A”, 1262nd Engineers Battalion. He attended Marquette and Michigan Universities and the City College of New York. He retired as Director of Human Resources and Labor relations having held that position in the Public and Private sectors. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 11 AM. Interment in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 AM until 11 AM.
