Rickey Allen Oxford entered into eternal rest on May 22, 2022. Son of the late Marvin "Jack" Eugene Oxford and Doris Pepitone Oxford. Brother of Cheryl Gros (late Terry), and the late Marvin "Butch" Oxford, II (Lisa), Steven Oxford (Barbara), and David Oxford (Kathleen). Uncle of Marvin "Gene" Oxford III (Bethany), Christopher Oxford (Angela), Derek Oxford (Claudia), Alexis Oxford Champagne, Benjamin Oxford (Elizabeth), Steven Oxford, Jr. (Raquel), Regina Oxford, Genevieve “Nicky” Oxford, Kaleb Oxford, Jeremie Oxford, Jessica Oxford, Angelique Bell (Joseph), Josh Oxford, Devin Gros (Traci), and the late Janine Oxford, Jesse Oxford, and Jerry Oxford. Godfather of Benjamin Oxford. Also survived by numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Age 67 years, a native of Avondale, and resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Rickey survived polio as an infant and the challenges it presented throughout his life. He spent his career as a baker and pastry chef. He was an avid fan of Led Zeppelin, the New Orleans Saints, and especially LSU. He enjoyed shooting pool with friends, and riding in his brother’s Corvette and brother-in-law's GTO.
