Rita Delesdernier Knox passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014.
She was the beloved mother of Patrick Knox (Jocelyn), Michael Knox (Earlene), and Alice K. Comstock (Robert). She was a grandmother of 3 and great grandmother of 6. Daughter of the late John and Alice Delesdernier. Sister of the late Anna S. Toner, George Sins, Joseph Sins, and Alice Sins. Aunt of the late B. Patrick Toner, Joseph B. Toner and Anne T. Toner. Age 91 years. A native of the Irish Channel neighborhood in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a resident of Terrytown, Louisiana for the past 25 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home 2100 Westbank Expy, in Harvey on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 1:30pm. Visitation from 11:30am until funeral time. Internment at Greenwood Cemetery , New Orleans Louisiana at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society of LA are preferred.
