Rita Laurent Landry

Rita Laurent Landry passed away peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at the age of 98.  She was a native of Plaquemine, Louisiana and a longtime resident of Terrytown, Louisiana.  Rita was a proud member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was the wife of the late Clarence B. Landry. Mother of Ronald D. Landry and Glenn J. Landry (Colleen). Daughter of the late Elizabeth "Lise" and Antoine Laurent. Sister of the late Anna Laurent Marzianti, Ray Laurent, and Roy Laurent.  She is also survived by her granddaughters Jessica Kostelak (Mark) and Michelle Landry (Jeffrey); and her great-grandchildren Elliot Kostelak, Olivia Kostelak, and Elizabeth Kirkwood. 
The family would like to extend their gratitude to her at-home care team and Heart of Hospice. 
Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Sunday, August 6 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M.  Religious services will follow.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana for 10 A.M.
