Robert "Bob" Morris Foster, born October 28th, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to his wonderful, supportive parents, Ola Mae and Wilbur Foster, died peacefully November 10th, 2016 in his home in Algiers, Louisiana at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife, Carol McDonald Foster, and sons Robert Scott Foster and Nicholas Sean Foster, to whom he was devoted.
Bob was a high school athlete and scholar until he was involved in a motor vehicle accident at the hands of a drunk driver. His accident left him paralyzed from the neck down just days before his 16th birthday. Despite his disability, Bob completed high school and college at SMU summa cum laudae. He then finished Tulane Law School in 1969, thereafter practicing law for over 40 years in Jefferson Parish.
Bob not only had determination but an extraordinarily positive outlook without resentment for his circumstances and a wonderful sense of humor. He was an inspiration to all he met and to the idea of pursuing one's goals and dreams. This incredible man will be dearly missed.
Please join us in service to celebrate his life at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 3643 Aurora Drive, New Orleans, LA 70131 on Monday, November 21st at 4pm.
