Robert G. "Bob" Daigle, Sr.

Robert G. “Bob” Daigle, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the age of 87. Beloved and loving husband of the late Effie Hotard Daigle. Son of the late Clovis C. Daigle, Sr. and Gertrude Cortez Daigle. Father of Robert Daigle, Jr. (Wife Jean), Thomas Daigle, Sr. (Wife Lulu). Grandfather of Kerri Tillman, Robbie Daigle, III and Thomas Daigle, Jr. (Wife Mandy). Great Grandfather of Kenzie Tillman, Cameron Daigle and Chelsey Daigle. Brother of Martha Nolan (Husband, the late Farrell), Gertie Mae Hintz (Husband, the late Bill), Ruth Ann Frisella (Husband “Cotton”) and Dottie Punch (Husband Johnny), Clovis Daigle, Jr. (Wife Goldie) and the late Jimmy Daigle (Survived by wife, Verlie). He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree, Santa Maria Council 1724 in Algiers, and a member of the American Legion Post 218 in Algiers. He served in the Untied States Army for 3 years during World War II. Bob was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gretna, LA. He was an Electrical Superintendent of Maintenance for McDermott International until his retirement. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 10AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
