Robert Emmett Higgins

Robert "Bob" Higgins passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the age of 83 years. Husband of Sylvia Territo Higgins for 56 years. Father of Tanya Higgins Everett (David). Son of the late Joseph C. Higgins Sr. and Olivia Bowers Higgins. Brother of Louis and Jimmy Higgins and the late Joseph "Jay" C. Higgins Jr. and C.R. "Banjo" Higgins. Brother in law of Ebby, Jeanne, and Betty Higgins and Sam Territo. Grandfather of Tatum and Hayley Everett. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a member of American Legion Post 222, a member of the Krewe of Poseidon, an Eagle Scout, and a veteran of the 24th Infantry Division during the Korean War. He was also a charter member of the Wild Game Dinner and proprietor of Le Higs Uniform Center. A native of Algiers, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA for the past 56 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also members of American Legion Post 222 are invited to attend a Funeral mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 1pm. Interment Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 11am until 1pm. Special thanks to Barbara Faust for taking such special care.
