Today we mourn the passing of Robert "Bill" Hopkins.
Beloved husband of Melissa Hopkins. In life we strive to achieve doing something that people will remember us for or some monument there of. Bill was a Civil Engineer and left his mark all over South Louisiana via streets, bridges & buildings.
He was a lover of History, mathematics and had a zest for reading. The digging into the details and untold stories of Southern
History were a passion. This drove him to research his Ancestry before it was easy. Many hours of Microfilm & library research and later using the Internet. He is survived by: his second wife Melissa, his sons Kevin & Robert, daughters Wendi & Ami & Grandchildren – David, Shannon, Kaitlyn, Hannah Grace, Anthony, Nicholas, Luke, Marguerite & Gabriel. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 9AM until 11AM. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Friday at 11AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Belle Chasse. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
